— On May 14th, 2019 — during the Transform Africa Summit, in Kigali, Rwanda,  Swedish startup Addressya AB releases an Android app giving everyone access to a precise, complete, and easy to use address system.

Have you ever had trouble finding your way or giving directions to your business? Has your food ever arrived cold, because the driver could not find your place? Have you ever walked in circles, looking for a place that was just next to you? If so, Addressya is the solution you have been waiting for.

“It is exciting to be back at Transform Africa Summit to launch Addressya, where we presented a prototype in 2017 and got very encouraging feedback. If your business depends on good quality addresses, come find us in the startup pavillion of Transform Africa Summit. And make sure you try out the Freemium app by downloading Addressya from Google Play!” says Karoline Beronius, CEO of Addressya AB.

Addressya is an Android app that allows anyone to register a complete, precise and easy to use address. Registering an address is as easy as one, two, three! All you need is a smartphone with a GPS chip and a data plan/wifi access. Your Addressya account will contain the exact location of your place  and address data from online services. You can add pictures and directions to make it more useful.

The user is always in charge and decides who to share their personal information with and for how long. Without a user’s explicit  permission you can’t access their personal data.

The service is free for private individuals. For business use, we offer Addressing as a Service, which opens up extra features and functionality for  companies through the app or by integrating their logistics or enterprise resource planning system with our APIs .

Addressya reduces costs and increases efficiency for all businesses and organisations dependent on accurate addressing. It works for all sectors of society, and connects those who have an official address with those who do not, and improves communication between cities, suburban places, and rural areas.

Pricing and Availability

The Addressya app is available on Play Store in beta version. Anyone can access it for free, which is a great way for businesses to get started with Addressing as a Service.  This release is designed for Android devices and early access is limited to users in East Africa.
