On May 14th, 2019 — during the Transform Africa Summit, in Kigali, Rwanda, Swedish startup Addressya AB releases an Android app giving everyone access to a precise, complete, and easy to use address system.
Addresses are part of essential infrastructure and support effective communication around location. Map Project has developed Addressya, which is an app that allows individuals to create a precise, complete and easy to use address.
Addressya meets Agnes Björn from Plan International and entrepreneur Johan Attby to explore opportunities for supporting reunification of displaced children and families with the use of Addressya addressing app.
Efficient addressing systems are essential to reach the targets of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Addressya (previously Map Project) contributes to at least six of the 17 goals.
